One focus of Dr. Daniel Kögel's practice is the procedural enforcement of copyright claims of rightholders as well as the judicial defense in proceedings before various courts and instances.
In addition, he advises creative and media professionals (copyright collecting societies, artists, media companies, publishers) in all areas of IP and IT law including intellectual property law (from licensing issues, rights clearance and any kind of contractual matters via data protection law to trademark advice, including trademark registration and competition law).
Furthermore, Dr. Daniel Kögel represents and advises medium-sized companies in any matter of IP and IT law (e.g. open source compliance, data protection law, software licensing issues, AI) and intellectual property law (such as trademark law or CE labeling requirements). He has a particular affinity for legal issues regarding legal tech and, above all, artificial intelligence.
