Professional liability insurance
Lawyers are required to hold professional liability insurance. The Partnership and the lawyers have taken out professional liability insurance with ERGO Versicherung AG, ERGO-Platz 1, 40477 Düsseldorf, Germany that complies with the requirements of the Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung (BRAO). The territorial scope of the insurance covers worldwide activities of consultation and occupation with European law.
Information on out-of-court dispute resolution
In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, there is, subject to request, an option for out-of-court dispute resolution via the local bar association (see above for address) or the lawyers’ arbitration board of the German Federal Bar Association (Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer).
